Former Turkish Airlines' Chairman, Ilker Ayci has been selected as Tata Air India's new CEO and MD, the Tata Group reported today.

Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran said that Ilker would lead Air India into the new era. So here are some important facts about Ilker Ayci.

*Turkish Nationality - Ilker Ayci was born in 1971 in Istanbul, Turkey.

*Bilkent University Alumni - He graduated from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Bilkent University.

*Kurtsan Ilaclar Employee - Ayci started his career in 1994 when he was alloted a few positions in Kurtsan Ilaclar A.S., Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Universal Dis Ticaret A.S.

*Researcher At  U.K. University - In 1995, he served as a researcher in the Department of Political Sciences at Leeds University in the U.K.

*Marmara University Post-Graduate - Ilker pursued his Master's degree in International Relations from Marmara University in Turkey in 1997.
