Wipro on Thursday said it has appointed Aparna C Iyer as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. She succeeds Jatin Dalal, who is stepping down from his position as CFO to explore new career opportunities.

Iyer brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having been an integral part of Wipro for over two decades. Her journey at the company began in April 2003 and during her tenure, she has held a variety of finance positions. These roles included responsibilities in Internal Audit, Business Finance, Finance Planning and Analysis, Corporate Treasury and Investor Relations, and most recently, as Senior Vice President and CFO of Wipro FullStride Cloud.

Her deep expertise in financial risk management, capital allocation, and fund raising, combined with her astute ability to drive business strategy and growth, makes her a valuable addition to the company's leadership team.

Aparna C Iyer's academic achievements further underscore her qualifications for this prestigious role, as she is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and was recognised as a gold medalist in the CA 2002 batch.

In a statement, Thierry Delaporte, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Wipro said, “Aparna has been integral to our finance transformation over the last few years, playing a key role in our financial strategy and planning, investment programs, and transformation initiatives. Her commitment to creating lasting value, expertise across the full spectrum of finance operations, and her experience in working with a range of stakeholders will be instrumental in achieving our financial objectives.”
