Visakhapatnam To Be Andhra Pradesh's New Capital, Says CM Jagan Mohan Reddy

CM Reddy announced that he will be moving to Visakhapatnam in the upcoming months

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that Visakhapatnam would soon be named the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. The state than intended to have three capital cities in 2020: Kurnool for the judiciary, Amaravati for the legislative, and Visakhapatnam for the administration.

Additionally, CM Reddy announced that he will be moving to Visakhapatnam in the upcoming months.

“Here I am to invite you to Visakhapatnam which will be our capital in the days to come. I will also be shifting to Visakhapatnam in the months to come," Reddy said on Twitter.


The state government would host the "Global Investors Summit" in Visakhapatnam on March 3 and 4, the chief minister added. He extended an invitation for a summit in the capital of Andhra Pradesh.
