Anil Agarwal, a billionaire, said that his face lit up when Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that a National Digital Library would be established for our children during Budget 2023.

Agarwal, the chairman of Vedanta Resources, expressed his happiness upon hearing about the government's intention to create a national digital library for kids in the Budget announcement. According to him, the country's people will have access to the entire world through digital libraries.

During her Budget speech, FM said that a national digital library for kids and teenagers will be established to make high-quality books more accessible to people of all ages and across all geographies, languages, genres, and reading levels. The states would be urged to create physical libraries for them at the panchayat and ward levels and to provide infrastructure for accessing the national digital library materials.
