Vande Bharat Express To Replace With Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi, Intercity Trains: Vaishnaw

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had also told that preparations are underway to replace Vande Bharat trains with Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi and Intercity trains in the coming times

Recently, the Railway Board had changed the rules for traveling at night. The new rules were implemented by the Railway Board with immediate effect. Once again, keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, preparations are being made to make some changes from the railway side. This change is related to Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi and Intercity trains.

Passengers of Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi and Intercity trains traveling by semi high speed train 'Vande Bharat' will make the journey more pleasant than before. Recently, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had told that preparations are on to start 75 new Vande Bharat trains across the country by next year.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had also told that preparations are underway to replace Vande Bharat trains with Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi and Intercity trains in the coming times. At present, 27 routes have been selected for this. More routes will also be finalised in the coming time.

The Railway Minister had also told that in the first phase, Vande Bharat trains will be run on 27 railway routes including Delhi-Lucknow, Delhi-Amritsar and Puri Howrah. Apart from this, preparations are also being made to replace Shatabdi trains operating on Delhi-Bhopal and Delhi-Chandigarh railway lines. The construction of Vande Bharat trains is going on fast in the Integral Coach Factory of Chennai. 75 trains are expected to be ready by August 2023.

The new Vande Bharat train is advance in many respects from the earlier Vande Bharat. It is technically more updated than the old train. Indian Railways has designed this first indigenous semi high speed train completely in-house. Apart from this, the Railway Minister also gave information about the first bullet train to be started between Surat and Bilimora in Gujarat in 2026. Last days, he had also given information about the fare of bullet train.
