Developed by the Government of India, the most important feature of this app is that it can help determine if you could have been exposed to the virus due to physical proximity to an infected person. The Gurgaon-based start-up Staqu has launched a thermal camera under its video analytics platform, JARVIS. This technology will alert the system of anyone with a body temperature of above 37° C and examines heat signatures directly through the cameras, enabling authorities to spot and further inspect suspected virus carriers. The technology is functional and effective in scanning crowded places like airports, railway stations, and malls, among others. Also, Using AI-powered video analytics to identify COVID19 compliance it can detect Social distancing, crowd, mask and safety gears, contact tracing, and gives a real-time alert.
It is a community social network that allows the broadcasting of information to targeted communities. Information is visible to only those physically present in the locality or colony. In a way, it works similar to a local FM station though the boundaries of the broadcast can be restricted. By connecting local administration with residents within communities, it is the best way to share important information on the ground level in Covid times.
The app provides users with verified and real-time local updates, and allows them to record and share videos on happenings in their vicinity. Users can even get locations and timings of essential services like grocery stores, chemists and hospitals, learn about quarantine arrangements in their area etc. Quite a few local politicians and District officials have now made their verified official accounts on the app to share COVID 19 related information and debunk rumors and fake news to prevent misinformation and panic in the community.
The Government of India launched MyGov Corona Helpdesk powered by Haptik to assist the address queries around the Coronavirus outbreak. The information that is being shared is verified by The Ministry of Health. The chatbot is well equipped to resolve FAQs per the novel coronavirus. This includes necessary precautionary measures, symptoms, correct and incorrect facts, helpline numbers, affected cases within the region, government advisories (including travel), informational videos, among others. This can be used to curb the false news on Whatsapp.
India’s first digital audio content platform in the regional language has introduced COVID-19 helpline for the blind and visually-impaired; Associates with National Association for the Blind (NAB). It becomes sole COVID-19 helpline portal/platform to attend the blind masses across India during these testing times. As a part of the initiative, Khabri will provide aid to this segment with expert inputs from domains including medical, psychological, social, or financial.
Swiggy has already started the delivery of daily essential items apart from regular food orders. In addition to grocery services, Swiggy has now come up with ‘Swiggy Genie’. It is the rebranded version of Swiggy Go which was started as an instant pick up and drop service. This service is somewhere similar to courier service.
