Udaipur Murder Case: Two Arrested For Beheading Man, Section 144 Imposed In Area

Two men namely, Gaus Mohammad and Mohammad Niyas Ansari, have been arrested for the murder of a tailor in Maldas Street.

Regarding the incident in Udaipur, Gehlot government has taken their steps to maintain peace in the area. Several measures including Section 144 has been imposed in the city, internet has been suspended and 600 police personnel have been deployed.

Two persons accused of killing a tailor in Udaipur's Maldas street today have been arrested by the police. The tailor had published several social media posts backing former BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma's comment on Prophet Mohammad.

The two men have been identified as Gaus Mohammad and Mohammad Niyas Ansari, who posted a video later in the day threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

One of the accused, published a video on June 17th that he would be committing the crime and when he would commit the crime his video would go viral.

The incident has provoked rage of people who have demonstrated in the Maldas Street area. A statewide alert has been issued to all superintendents of police and inspectors generals.

"The entire police force is on alert. Along with senior officers, we have deployed around 600 police personnel in Udaipur, and more will be sent," said Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, Hawa Singh Ghumria.
