UPGIS 2023: Indian Business Leaders Promise To Stand With Country's Growth

Eminent Indian business leaders like Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla and Tata Sons Chairman, N Chandrasekaran participated in the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 (UPGIS). The summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on Friday in Lucknow. 

UPGIS witnessed the concurrence of the most important business leaders and industrialists across the country who highlighted the faster pace of development of the Indian economy and assure to stand beside the country's journey to become a developed economy. 

Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, of Aditya Birla Group, said, “India is now the fastest-growing large economy in the world & is poised to become 3rd largest economy by 2030. As a global group, we operate in 36 countries, I can confidently say that India today stands out amongst all of them.”

Adding to this, KM Birla also appreciated the growth of Uttar Pradesh and said that in the last few years, UP has gone through a metamorphosis under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath.

One of the key speakers at the inaugural event was Kumar Mangalam Birla, who said the Birla Group had invested Rs 40,000 crore in the state. He announced new investments of Rs 25,000 crore across existing businesses in Uttar Pradesh.  

Further, while addressing the summit, N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, of Tata Sons said, “India is the fastest-growing economy. Under the leadership of PM, Modi India will not only grow economically but will also have 360-degree development.”

Chandrasekaran also admired the tourism aspect of Uttar Pradesh which stays as one of the biggest revenue generators for the state. He said that UP is the first choice of foreign tourists because the state has many religious, historical and wildlife sanctuaries.
