UP Ministers Meet Business Leaders in Frankfurt, Invite Them For Investors Meet

Earlier on Thursday, the UP delegation met Indian business leaders in Frankfurt and invited the Indian community to expand their business in Uttar Pradesh and participate in successfully organising the UP Global Investors Summit 2023

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is working round the clock to invite the best investors from across the globe to the forthcoming Global Investors Summit. A delegation from UP, that included state’s Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi and Public Works department minister Jitin Prasad participated in a roadshow at Frankfurt in Germany to invite the investors and to reach out to the Indian community for support to the GIS 2023. 


It may be recalled that the Global Investors Summit is scheduled to be organised by the UP government in the state capital from 10 to 12 Frabruary 2023. The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is himself sending delegations led by UP ministers and senior officials to various countries to promote the event and invite the investors. The event is being touted as one of the biggest tools to the state’s goal of turning into a $ One trillion economy. 


Earlier on Thursday, the UP delegation met Indian business leaders in Frankfurt and invited the Indian community to expand their business in Uttar Pradesh and participate in successfully organising the UP Global Investors Summit 2023. The delegation reached Frankfurt on December 8 and met leaders of some eminent Indian business groups during a dinner hosted by the Council General of Germany. Speaking on the occasion, the delegation urged these business leaders to choose Uttar Pradesh as their investment destination. Investment and skill development and exchange of skilled labour in sectors such as logistics, textile, healthcare and pharma, tourism, automotive and EV were also discussed on the occasion.


Apart from the two state ministers, the delegation also includes senior government officers like ACS Navneet Sehgal, Commissioner Excise Senthil C Pandian and Secretary MSME Pranjal Yadav. 


Indian industrialists that were present at the meeting included Senior Vice President, Trail Blazer Tours India Shantanu Mohan, Managing Director of Crystal & Somas Vijay Kapoor, Managing Partner of CSA Healthcare Chitra Agarwal, Business Development Manager of  Skyways Logistics Gautam Mehta and President of  Horizon Industries Satish K Batra.


Consul General of India in Frankfurt Dr Amit Telang and members of the Consulate General in Frankfurt joined the delegation for dinner on the occasion. Through the road show in Germany, the delegation of the UP government will contact German companies like Samson, Continental AG, Innoplexus AG, and Zack Technologies GmbH and will prepare investment intentions for Uttar Pradesh.


The government delegation also visited Samson AG Headquarters in Frankfurt and invited the CEO Andreas Widl to invest in the UP GIS 23. Samson AG intends to collaborate with the government in R&D and Green Hydrogen manufacturing.
