Uttar Pradesh government will be organising an International Trade Show to showcase the state’s investment opportunities and the state’s goal towards achieving a Trillion dollar economy. The trade show will be organised in Noida from 21 to 25 September this year.
A media interaction was organised in Delhi on Friday regarding the same.
Highlighting the objectives and significance of the international trade show, Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of MSME, Government of Uttar Pradesh, said, “The primary purpose of this international trade show is to promote trade and business in the state of Uttar Pradesh by providing a platform where various sectors related to the state's products and services can converge.”
He also emphasised the show's contribution to enhancing the access of products from Uttar Pradesh to the global market. “Participating in an international trade show provides an opportunity for businesses to showcase their offerings to a global audience, attracting potential buyers, distributors, and partners from around the world. This exposure can lead to expanded export opportunities, creating avenues for economic growth and diversification,” he stated.
Prasad further said that Uttar Pradesh is a key state for industrial development in the country. He emphasised that Uttar Pradesh's industrial environment has undergone significant change over time, attracting investors who are eager to make investments in the state.
He said that the Global Investors Summit organised in Uttar Pradesh in the month of February served as a great platform to showcase the investment opportunities and potential that UP offers. The summit's success is evident from the fact that it has paved the way for investments worth Rs 35 lakh crore in the state.
He said that a special glimpse of ‘one district, one product’ will be seen in this international trade show, through which local products will not only be encouraged, but will also become an identity in the international market.
The Department of MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), Exports, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML) jointly organised the conference to inform and update stakeholders about the preparations for the trade show. These stakeholders include officials from the MSME department, the Department of Exports, and IEML.
Pranjal Yadav, Secretary, MSME, Government of Uttar Pradesh, said that the trade show aims to provide recognition to the traders of Uttar Pradesh in the global market and enable them to showcase their products to the world. It will be a hybrid trade show, encompassing both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) aspects. This will allow for meaningful business discussions and transactions, while also creating opportunities for traders to directly sell their goods to customers.
