There’s good news for all party goers; Toy Room, an international nightclub chain has come calling to the capital. The chic new club is housed in Aloft hotel Aerocity and looks like the perfect spot for the who’s who to catch up in style. The décor is high in glamour with neon funky signs, rose gold glass and cushy seating. Hospitality entrepreneur, Akshay Anand, who has brought the chain to India says, “It is an exclusive boutique club where we take reservations well in advance and have restrictive hours. We are targeting a premium clientele and all those in the age group of 25-35 who enjoy good music.”  There are plans of bringing international DJs to the club soon in collaboration with their foreign partners.

Present in eight countries, Toy Room is one of the biggest and hottest UK-based international entertainment brands with outposts already operating in London, Dubai, Istanbul, Rome, Mykonos, Athens, São Paulo and now India. Akshay says, “We are happy with our Delhi launch and plan to open doors in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Goa this year as part of our first phase of expansion.”

The music will be mainly Hip Hop and R&B as Akshay enlightens, “house music and EDM are mostly passé”. The nightclub will retain its international image of a high end club, with limited seating striving to offer an elite clubbing experience. There is also a fun element to the ambiance with “provocative playfulness” being one theme with toys as part of the décor.

Since the first opening in London by partners, Luca Maggiora, Gennaro Salerno, Corrado Mozzillo and Jordan Rocca, Toy Room has been defining nightlife. It is a relaxed, fun playground for the world’s elite, attracting A-list stars, musicians and athletes including the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake, Rihanna, Ronaldo, Nicole Scherzinger, Bradley Cooper and others.

The venue is designed by renowned New Delhi-based interior architect firm Chromed Design Studio, who have elevated the space with sleek luxe interiors including metal and rose gold fixtures and fittings, reflective mirrors and leather seating. Local touches are reflective of one-of-a-kind customized art works from young and budding Indian artists.

The grand entrance lobby has a special merchandise area and is ornated with art that is a Toy room rendition of the classic Last Supper painting. Meandering through the narrow passage leading to the L-shaped main hall has a huge curvilinear island bar. Frank - the Toy room teddy bear mascot occupies the entire bar front.

The club with quirky interiors also boasts of a license for round the clock service apart from a team of highly esteemed bartenders and promises cocktails and tapas like no other club. The city has sure got its new party address.

Open for dinner from 6pm and serving a tapas style menu of Asian and Mediterranean inspired cuisine, the venue turns into a club as the evening progresses allowing party goers to enjoy the special service and non stop eclectic music.

Who doesn’t want to party with ‘Frank the Bear’, the fun adventurous and endearing mascot!
