Threats To Explode Ambani's House, Hospital; Police Registers Complaint

The unidentified caller threatened to blow up the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and also threatened to kill Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani and both sons Akash and Anant

In Maharashtra's capital Mumbai, India's leading industrialist Mukesh Ambani's house 'Antilia' and hospital were threatened with a bomb on Wednesday. This threat was given through landline. 

Mukesh Ambani's hospital, Sir HN Reliance Foundation is one where, Anahita Pandole, who was driving a luxury Mercedes car during the death of former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry in a road accident early last September, and his husband Daniel Pandole was admitted.

According to media reports, on Wednesday, an unknown person called at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in South Mumbai and threatened to blow up the hospital and India's leading industrialist Mukesh Ambani's house 'Antilia' with bomb. According to police officials, the caller has also threatened to kill Mukesh Ambani and his family members.

A police official said that the unidentified person called the landline number of Reliance Foundation Hospital in Girgaum, south Mumbai, first at 12:57 pm and then from an unknown number at 5:04 pm. 

A Reliance Industries (RIL) spokesperson said the unidentified caller threatened to blow up the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and also threatened to kill Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani and both sons Akash and Anant. He said that the unidentified caller also threatened to blow up 'Antilia'. A complaint has been registered with the police and we are providing all the necessary details to the police. He said that an FIR has been registered at DB Marg police station against the unidentified person making the call and the matter is being probed.
