TVS Motor September Sales Surge By 6%

TVS Motor Company has reported a robust 6 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in total sales for the month of September. The company's sales figures surged to 4,02,553 units, marking a uptick compared to the same period last year when they dispatched 3,79,011 units to dealers.

The two-wheeler segment proved to be a key driver of this growth, with total two-wheeler sales experiencing a 7 per cent YoY growth, totaling 3,86,955 units in September. This surge is particularly noteworthy as it outpaced the figures from September 2022, which stood at 3,61,729 units.

On the domestic front, TVS Motor Company recorded a substantial increase in sales. Domestic sales reached 3,00,493 units, indicating a notable 6 per cent growth compared to the previous year when the figure was 2,83,878 units. This domestic surge reflects strong consumer demand within the country.

Furthermore, the company showcased its prowess in the international market as well. TVS Motor Company's overseas shipments in September amounted to 1,00,294 units, highlighting a positive trend in exports. This figure was up from 92,975 units in September 2022, with two-wheeler exports contributing significantly, totaling 86,462 units, compared to 77,851 units in the same month the previous year.

However, in the three-wheeler segment, the company witnessed a decline in sales, with only 15,598 units sold last month. This figure was down from 17,282 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.
