Swipe Elite VR, Konnect Star 2017 Launched In India

Indian technology company Swipe on Tuesday (8 August) launched its latest affordable smartphone with VR- Swipe Elite VR. Priced at Rs 4,499, the handset is exclusively available on Shopclues and comes with a VR lens. The smartphone is available in red, grey, black, and gold colours. Buyers can get 10 per cent discount on debit and credit cards of Standard Chartered and Kotak Mahindra Banks.

Swipe Elite VR runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and powered by 1.3 Ghz Mediatek 6737 Quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It has 8GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB through a MicroSD card.

Swipe Elite VR features a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720) IPS display. It sports 13-megapixels rear camera with LED flash and on the front is a 5-megapixels selfie shooter. The handset is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

The dual-SIM (micro+micro) Elite VR measures 155.6x76.6x9.3mm. Connectivity options are – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4G VoLTE, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio-jack and micro USB. The smartphone is integrated with multi lingual touch keyboard SwiftKey.  

Swipe also launched the Konnect Star 2017; the successor of Konnect Star is priced at 3,333 and comes with a 1Ghz Quad-core processor offering 4G speeds at very affordable price. The 4-inch dual SIM device is powered with 1GB RAM and 16 GB storage and runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.

According to the company, “Swipe Konnect Star will connect Indians to the world by bridging language barriers through Indus OS with 12 regional languages which covers 90% of the population and has translation and transliteration feature for easy communication”.
