Technical glitches postponed a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch to the International Space Station on Monday, with officials citing problems concerning the ignition fluid used to start the spacecraft’s engines.

The mission in collaboration with NASA and SpaceX was scheduled to depart the Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 1.45 am (0645 GMT), carrying two NASA astronauts, a Russian cosmonaut and a United Arab Emirates crewmate to voyage to space.

NASA on Twitter notified that the launch has been scrubbed stating an issue with ground systems.

SpaceX stated, it has started unloading fuel from the rocket and that the crew would disembark.

Meanwhile, the first backup launch opportunity for the mission was set earlier on Tuesday, about 24 hours after the initial attempt to get the rocket off the ground. For now, neither NASA nor SpaceX has commented about the future launch.

According to reports if Monday’s launch had been successful, it was expected to take the crew about 25 hours to reach their destination at the International Space Station (ISS), a laboratory orbiting about 250 miles (420 km) above Earth.
