Salesforce India's Head of Finance Karun Gupta on Friday said that platforms like Slack are enhancing productivity potential at workplaces at a large scale.

Speaking at BW CFO World's Finance Leadership & Strategy Summit 2023, Gupta said that the world is looking up from an inflation point of view, organisations are trying to do more with less, and they are trying to utilise their budget effectively and efficiently.

Gupta pointed out that companies are emphasising productivity, efficiency and the need to do 'more with less’ and that is why platforms like Slack become relevant.

Talking about the features of Slack, he said, "Slack has easy-to-use tools which can help you to build those capabilities in the workflows which can really help to automate the routine task."

"Slack is the most open ecosystem you will find, and it gets integrated with 2000+ applications which all of you use at different times. From that perspective, Slack becomes your one interface to go with everything you need to do things on a day-to-day routine, "Gupta added.

Gupta further said that Slack also enables users to search and share knowledge apart from automation.

He also unveiled various other functions of Slack that ease down daily work flows. Technology has occupied a significant portion of today's work life, especially after the pandemic, and Slack is digitising the work culture and enabling humans to use the technology efficiently, he added.
