Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday said that he would not fear a CBI investigation but also urged that the agency should investigate what was alleged to be a scam involving the Bundelkhand Expressway, which developed cracks five days after its opening.

The CBI has filed an FIR against 15 individuals and entities, including Sisodia, claiming there were irregularities in excise policy implementation. He said his party would not back down from any investigation and denied that the BJP's accusations were shagufe.

A deputy chief minister told reporters on Saturday that he might be arrested in two to four days.

The report clearly outlined several alleged lapses in procedures submitted by the Delhi chief secretary, which led Lieutenant Governor Saxena to recommend that the CBI investigate Kejriwal's excise policy for 2021–22.

Asked about the Delhi excise policy and the various allegations, Sisodia claimed that he was unaware of any reports and commented that the BJP, CBI, LG and the chief secretary work hand in hand. If they fail to stop Kejriwal, the BJP will have no chance of winning the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Despite prohibition, people continue to die from drinking illicit alcohol in Gujarat every year. The CBI should look into the scam of Rs 10,000 crore that occurs every year. PM Modi inaugurated the Bundelkhand Expressway five days ago.

Sisodia said that the nation has been brought into disgrace by this and that corruption is involved. The CBI must investigate them and everyone else as they are not against the investigation or the probe.

When interrogated about the Delhi excise policy, he declined to comment on the specifics of the policy as the issue is being investigated. The reason behind former L-G Anil Baijal's sudden change of stand should be examined as per Sisodia.

He claimed that sometimes they report that a Rs 1000 crore scam has occurred, sometimes it is Rs 800 crore, and sometimes it is just Rs 140 crore.

Kejriwal should not be the target of the investigation according to the Deputy Chief Minister who also is the head of the excise department. He suggested that those interested in investigating the scam should actually investigate who conspired to change the former L-G's position 2 days before the policy went into effect.

Sisodia also accused former LG Anil Baijal of changing his position over the opening of liquor vents in unauthorised areas and claiming that it had caused the city government thousands of crores.

Sisodia had asked the CBI to investigate the matter after sending the details.

Sisodia's allegations were rejected by Baijal as "baseless and falsehoods, an act which was committed by a desperate individual looking to save his own skin.

On Saturday, Sisodia said that he would be arrested in a few days by the CBI. In response to a question, he replied that even if he is arrested, the party will continue its good work in education and health.
