Singhania Takes Over As AIMA President For 2020-21

CK Ranganathan, Chairman & Managing Director, CavinKare assumes the role of Senior Vice President, AIMA; Hemant Kanoria, Chairman, SREI Infrastructure Finance is the new Vice President

Harsh Pati Singhania, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, JK Paper Limited has been elected the President of the All India Management Association (AIMA) for the year 2020-21. Singhania succeeds Mr Sanjay Kirloskar, Chairman and Managing Director, Kirloskar Brothers Limited.

Singhania is a fourth-generation industrialist, belonging to one of India’s oldest business houses, the $ 4 billion J K Organization. The group’s businesses include manufacturing of paper & boards, cement, automotive tyres, industrial rubber products, agri products, aerospace & defence and textiles. In addition, the group is also into health care, clinical research, education and insurance.

“I am honoured to take over as AIMA President for the year 2020-21.  I am deeply grateful to the members, Council and Past Presidents for the confidence reposed in me,” says Singhania.

Commenting on his task, Singhania says, “The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted lives and livelihoods the world over. The Indian economy resultantly also witnessed a sharp contraction.  On the business front, this has forced a re-set of paradigms and has fundamentally altered management practices.  There is a need to reimagine business models not just for short term survival but for long term resilience as well.   Indian Management will therefore have to innovate and reinvent itself to meet this challenge.”

Singhania complimented AIMA on its digital transformation during the lockdown and for introduction of many online products and events. “.  We will continue to build on this along with the Management fraternity in India,” he says.

CK Ranganathan, Chairman and Managing Director, CavinKare Pvt Ltd, has been elected the Senior Vice President of AIMA.

Ranganathan said that he was looking forward to working with the rest of the AIMA leadership team and Secretariat to achieve the vision and goals of AIMA.

“I shall put in my best efforts to make the management movement flourish in India and thus make AIMA flag fly high,” says Ranganathan.

Hemant Kanoria, Chairman, SREI Infrastructure Finance has been elected as the new Vice President of AIMA.

“I feel honoured to have been elected as the Vice President of AIMA, one of the most prestigious institutions in the country,” he says.

Kanoria appreciated AIMA’s distinguished contribution to leadership development and management education in the country, as well as its testing and skill development activities. “I look forward to an enlightening earning experience with AIMA,” he adds.
