SWELECT Energy Systems, formerly Numeric Power Systems, a manufacturer of solar photovoltaic modules, announced the opening of its solar module manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu on Friday.

SWELECT's 140 MW facility in Bengaluru has been superseded by the launch of the new facility in Sarkarsamakulam, situated on the outskirts of the city.

The manufacturing unit's output would be increased from 385 MW to 595 MW, according to managing director R Chellappan.

He said that his business, which has a 5 per cent market share, has installed about 3,800 solar rooftops and 6,000 water pumps.

The business website states that it has a completely automated photovoltaic manufacturing unit in Dabaspet, Bengaluru. The business owns and operates a 140 MW class one lakh dust-free clean room, as well as a world-class photovoltaic solar technologies manufacturing plant with research and development capabilities.

SWELECT also has a 'Balance of Systems' manufacturing facility in Salem that offers a full range of electrical and mechanical balance systems, including solar power conditioning units and module mounting structures, according to the company.
