With the increasing heat in the state, the power crisis is deepening. The demand for electricity in the state also crossed the record level. This is the reason that power plants have to face shortage of coal from time to time, due to which power supply is getting disrupted.

To solve this problem, the Yogi government has announced to provide electricity according to the schedule. Following the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Power Corporation on Thursday released the schedule of power supply in all urban and rural areas of the state till May 31.

There will also be 24 hours supply in the rural areas included in the Taj Trapezium Zone. Apart from this, electricity is supplied to the districts of Bundelkhand from Sarnath and Panki Control. Power Corporation has been told to provide 20 hours electricity to all the districts of Bundelkhand from May 1 to 31.

According to the report of the Central Electricity Authority, at present, no unit in the state has even a quarter of the coal in stock, which is a sign of critical condition. According to reports, only one day's stock of coal is left with Jhansi's Parichha Thermal Power Plant. Apart from this, only three days of coal is left in the Obra thermal project plant of Sonbhadra.
