RBI Releases T-Bills Auction Result

T-Bill auctions were done for a total amount of Rs 24,000 crore.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released the full auction results of the Treasury Bills auction on Wednesday. The auction featured three different tenors - 91 days, 182 days, and 364 days - and saw involvement from both competitive and non-competitive bidders.

In the 91 days T-Bills category, the notified amount was Rs 10,000 crore. A total of 176 competitive bids were received, amounting to Rs 27,820.173 crore. 

The cut-off price/yield stood at 98.3173, with a Yield to Maturity (YTM) of 6.8648 per cent. Out of the competitive bids, 41 were accepted, totalling Rs 9,965.660 crore. The partial allotment percentage for competitive bids was 35.24 per cent (2 Bids), and the weighted average price/yield was 98.3216 (Weighted Average Yield - WAY: 6.8470 per cent).

Moving on to the 182-day T-Bills, the notified amount was  Rs 8,000 Crore. A total of 172 competitive bids were received, amounting to  Rs 23,042.850 Crore. 

The cut-off price/yield stood at 96.5911, with a YTM of 7.0778 per cent. Out of the competitive bids, 79 were accepted, totalling  Rs 7,959.876 crore. The partial allotment percentage for competitive bids was 36.01 per cent (1 Bid), and the weighted average price/yield was 96.5986 (WAY: 7.0617 per cent).

In the 364 days T-Bills category, the notified amount was Rs 6,000 Crore. A total of 160 competitive bids were received, amounting to  Rs 22,874.950 Crore. 

The cut-off price/yield stood at 93.4010, with a YTM of 7.0846 per cent. Out of the competitive bids, 21 were accepted, totalling  Rs 5,982.271 Crore. The partial allotment percentage for competitive bids was 3.86 per cent (1 Bid), and the weighted average price/yield was 93.4115 (WAY: 7.0726 per cent).

Additionally, non-competitive bids were received, with 19 bids amounting to  Rs 5,118.783 Crore across all three tenors.
