The Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann is on a two day visit to Chennai and Hyderabad from today. Mann is said to be visiting the two cities to woo industrial clusters and companies to invite them to invest in Punjab.
According to the official information, the Punjab CM reached Chennai on Sunday. He will be meeting representatives of prominent companies and also hold meetings with business delegations on 19 December 2022. On 20 December 2022, the CM will be heading to Hyderabad, where he will be meeting industry delegations and heads and representatives of various companies. In both the cities, Mann will be extending an invitation to everyone to be a part of the forthcoming Punjab Investor Summit, that is being organised by the state government in Mohali on 23 and 24 February, 2023. He will also be sharing about the Invest UP programme.
It may be mentioned here that ever since the Aam Aadmi Party has formed a government in Punjab, they have been talking about their commitment to make Punjab an industrial hub. Mann, in his various addresses, too has insisted that he is committed to invite more and more industries to Punjab and make the state rise up on the industrial index of India. The Punjab government hopes that through these visits, the state will be able to attract big companies and not only develop the states in terms of industrialisation, but also increase employment opportunities.
