Private Security Sector Is Big Employer For Our Youth: Rajya Sabha MP Kalita

He said that the sector of private security is not only the alternative to government forces but also contributes to the overall prosperity of the country by employing thousands and lakhs of guards

We feel secure around private security guards because they are well-trained with modern equipment, educated and efficient, Bhubaneswar Kalita said on Saturday. 

Kalita further said that security professionals are the armour to the citizen, the new era of multi-national complexities cannot be imagined without the existence of the security sector in the country during CAPSI Security Leadership Summit 2022.

The private security industry is regarded as the MSME as it consists of all the characteristics like MSMEs and has been contributing to the country to a large extent, he added.

Kalita stressed the significance of private security guards and said that the private security sector is not only the alternative to government forces but also contributes to the country's overall prosperity by employing thousands and lakhs of guards. 

He also appreciated the involvement of the Union Minister of State, the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Rameshwar Teli in the summit as the private security industry could be a big employer for the educated, employed and unemployed youth. 

Kalita also mentioned the crucial role of private security guards who fill up the void of public security forces. 

Further, he added, “We feel secure around private security guards because they are well-trained with modern equipment, educated and efficient.” 

While concluding his address, Kalita wished for the summit's success that aims to reorientate the country's security sector.
