Panasonic India is on a product launch spree. Within four months the Japanese electronic brand has launched new range of mobile phones, air purifiers and high-end DSLR cameras.

The company is looking to consolidate its presence in the segment of connected solutions division. This segment deals with high-end 'Prosumer' cameras which is a mix of professional and consumer cameras.

Talking to BW Businessworld, Manish Sharma, president and CEO of Panasonic India, said: "We are looking at 10 per cent market share as far as this particular segment is concerned and currently we understand that this market is about 150,000 units annually."

Panasonic has launched its latest offering Lumix GH5 camera in the Indian market. This camera is launched under the segment of connected solutions division.

The company is about to achieve its current year target of Rs 700 crores in this segment and the next year target is between 850 crore with 20 per cent growth.

As the high-end camera section is very niche, Panasonic is conducting workshops in order to engage with the customers and to make them aware about the latest technology. The company is not dealing with the online channel for this segment and only available in selected stores of Panasonic.
