Panasonic Re-enters Window AC Segment

Panasonic has set yet another milestone by adding a new window air-conditioner model to its wide-ranging AC portfolio. As part of its India focused strategy to bring products designed keeping in mind the needs of Indian customers, the brand has re-entered the window AC segment with competitively-priced entry-level product.

The ACs are already available in the market in variants of 1.0, 1.5 and 2,0 ton capacities and in 2, 3 and 5 stars. They are priced between Rs 24,990 to Rs 39,490.

Panasonic’s re-entry into the window AC segment is also a part of its strategy to expand the consumer base and capture the untapped potential of the hinterlands and small towns. The consumption pattern in these areas is shifting from necessities to discretionary goods and the consumers have been showing a great appetite for consumer durables. Window ACs have strong potential demand from rural India and smaller towns since the first time buyers in these markets essentially prefer window ACs as they want a low cost product with simpler features. Now with this entire gamut of products under the Air Conditioner range, Panasonic will be able to tap different audiences with its offerings.

Dlecta Foods Launches D’lecta Café
Dlecta Foods Pvt Ltd, a known name in the food & beverages sector has launched D’lecta Café as part of its ongoing expansion drive. Under this vertical, Dlecta Foods will make available everything related to tea and coffee under one roof. The entire solution will comprise of an attractive looking D’lecta branded thermopot, three varieties of premium tea, coffee sachets, coffee premix, liquid dairy creamers and consumables like sugar sticks, paper cups, paper napkins and stirrers. The tea and coffee consumables along with the thermopot will come in compactly designed trays that will store everything in specially created slots.

Mahesh Bank Network Security deployment To Meet RBI Guidelines
Mahesh Bank was the first co-operative urban bank in the state of Andhra Pradesh to introduce computerisation at all its branches and remains one of the few co-operative banks that have automated its operations. It was also the first co-operative bank to be accorded Scheduled Status by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Mahesh Bank's 39  branches have each deployed a FortiGate-40C appliance to extend edge security, providing secure network access via VPN. They also serve as routers to connect the branches to the Internet via MPLS. Using a centralized network security policy, the head office now has complete control of the Internet and application usage as well as transactions conducted at every branch.

The Mahesh Bank Fortinet implementation highlights that with the right architecture and solutions, smaller co-operative banks - not just big banks - can benefit from advanced security technologies.
