PIB Fact Checks Viral Video Of RBI Governor, Says It Fake

Cybercriminals to adopt a new tactic to cheat people on social media this time, have made the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India a bait. Actually, a video of RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das is going increasingly viral on social media, in which he is telling people about what to do in case a mobile phone is stolen or lost.

In the video, Das telling people about steps to apply during mobile theft. It is being told in the video that if the mobile is stolen or lost somewhere and it has wallet login like Google Pay, Paytm, then how to block it without mobile. Some numbers are being told to block, on which it is being advised to call.

PIB Fact Check has tweeted in hindi saying that the voice used in the video is not of RBI Governor Das.

After the RBI Governor's video gone viral on social media, PIB Fact investigated it and was told that the video is completely fake. PIB Fact Check shared the video on its official Twitter handle and wrote, 'Here a different video of RBI Governor has been used in the wrong context.' The PIB team called the video misleading, 'he voice heard in the video is also not that of RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das.'
