One Lakh Farmers May Not Get Financial Aid Due To Incomplete eKYC

All registered PM Kisan farmers need to check their eligibility from the beneficiary list to confirm if they will get the next installment of Rs. 2000 or not

As per the recent update from PM Kisan Yojana, at least 1 lakh farmers from Prakasam district may deprived of monetary assistance of the 12th instalment of Rs. 2000.

The government officials under the PM Kisan scheme of Andhra Pradesh's Prakasam district stated that around 1 lakh enrolled farmers have not completed their eKYC even after postponing the last dates for registration four times. Government has made eKYC mandatory for all farmers.

Noting that only 2.2 lakhs farmers have finalised their registration process (aadhaar authentication process) along with their eKYC as well till September 15. There are 3.18 lakhs farmers in the Prakasam district.

A Srinivasa Rao, Agriculture Joint Director stated that he has no information if the deadline will be further extended. After requests from the state government and farmers' unions, the last date for completion of eKYC is set to be September 18.

Furthermore, it is noticed that from this 1 lakh farmers, 35000 farmers would remain ineligible as they might be having more than one beneficiary in one family, submitted the wrong documents, or maybe pay Income Tax.

The remaining 65,000 farmers have not updated their details. Officials tried to contact them but they are not reachable.
