Nupur Sharma Should Apologise To Whole Country By Going On TV: SC

Nupur appealed to transfer all the FIRs lodged against her in several states to Delhi for investigation over her controversial remarks

Nupur Sharma, the former spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party, moved to Supreme Court On Friday. She appealed to transfer all the FIRs lodged against her in several states to Delhi for investigation over her controversial remarks. Sharma says that she is constantly receiving death threats.

At the same time, the Supreme Court strongly reprimanded the suspended BJP leader on the whole episode. However, Sharma's petition is still being heard in court. Regarding the matter, the Supreme Court said that there has been unrest in the country due to her statements. 

The SC also said that she has "threatened the security of the nation". During a TV debate, Sharma had made controversial remarks on the Prophet, due to which she is facing investigation. The BJP has also suspended her from the party.

In this case, senior advocate Maninder Singh, appearing for Nupur Sharma, told the Supreme Court that she has apologised for the remarks. Also have withdrawn their comments. 

On this, the SC reprimanded and said that she should apologise to the whole country by going on TV. Her statement has set the whole country on fire. The SC said that the TV channel and Nupur Sharma should not promote any agenda related to a matter which is sub-judice in the court.
