No VIP Treatment For Sidhu In Jail: Authorities

Sidhu's media advisor also said that he has been advised to avoid food items made from wheat flour

In the road rage case, a big information has come to the fore about how Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was finally behind the bars, spent the first night in jail. According to jail officials, Sidhu did not have dinner in the night. However, during this time he ate his medicine on time. An official of Patiala Central Jail said that Sidhu is cooperating fully with the jail staff.

According to the report published in Hindustan Times, the jail authorities have made it clear that Sidhu will not get any special treatment or special food in the jail. However, on the advice of doctors, if any special food item is needed for diet for his body, then Sidhu will be able to buy it from the prison canteen or eat that food himself in jail.

Meanwhile, Sidhu's media advisor Surinder Dalla told that Sidhu is suffering from embolism. He has liver disease. In 2015, he underwent treatment in a hospital in Delhi. Due to Deep Vein Thrombosis, Sidhu has to wear large plastic bands on his legs so that a blood clot does not form. Sidhu has to take some medicines daily due to health issues. His media advisor also said that he has been advised to avoid food items made from wheat flour.

Sidhu has been sentenced to one year in the 1988 road rage case. On 27 December 1988, this sad incident came to the fore in Patiala. Then Sidhu had parked his car on Beach Road. During this, when the victim saw the gypsy on the road and asked Sidhu to remove him. So there the debate started. The police had alleged that during this time Sidhu fled from the spot after assaulting the victim. He later died during treatment.
