The prestigious Joint Commission International(JCI) has given the Gold Seal of Approval to Narayana Health’ Health City Cayman Islands (HCCI) operations. Launched in February 2014, as a tertiary care multispecialty hospital, this recognition is received just over a year of Health City Cayman Island’s operations. It is for the first time that an Indian healthcare chain has set-up a hospital in the Western world and it is only the second hospital in the region to have received a JCI approval.
Dr Devi Shetty – Founder and Chairman of Narayana Health, said: “It is rewarding to see our efforts recognized with the accreditation by JCI which has expanded our credibility worldwide. JCI’s endorsement of our state-of-the-art clinical facilities and of medical treatment further reinstates the Narayana Health commitment.” He further added, “Narayana Health endeavors to provide world class services to one and all and we have spent a lot of time to carefully handpick and attract some of the best doctors and surgeons to our Cayman Islands facility.”
Narayana Health is associated with Ascension Health Alliance, one of the largest private, non-profit healthcare networks in the United States, to provide quality services at HCCI. The partnership with Ascension is to advance the concept of excellent clinical care for all. Both share the same values: dedication to the transformation of healthcare through innovation.
According to Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Vice Chairman, MD & Group CEO, Narayana Health, “HCCI has continued to demonstrate how the Group’s high-quality, low-cost model can be successful and impactful in the Western world as well. It has completed over a year of operations and received a JCI approval. The majority of Health City's team members come from institutions where quality has become a way of life, allowing the hospital to achieve this important accreditation in such a short time.”
Apart from this there are two more hospitals from the Group that are JCI accredited (Bangalore and Jaipur.)
