NMDC Q4 Profit Rises By 22% To Rs 2,277 Cr

The company’s net profit from operations stood at Rs 5,851.37 crore, 14 per cent lower in comparison to last year’s Rs 6,785.30 crore

India’s iron ore producer, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) reported consolidated net profit increased by 22 per cent to Rs 2,277 crore for the fourth quarter that ended in March 2023.

The company’s net profit from operations stood at Rs 5,851.37 crore, which is 14 per cent lower in comparison to last year’s Rs 6,785.30 crore. 

The net profit for the fiscal year was Rs 5,537.72 crore (Rs 9,440.42 crore), while revenue from operations declined to Rs 17,666.88 (Rs 25,964.79 crore).

According to reports, the company declared a final dividend of Rs 2.85 per equity share of rupee one for the financial year 2022-2023. 

NMDC said for the second consecutive fiscal year, the iron ore production had crossed the 40 MT mark and during the fiscal, it produced 40.82 million tonne of iron ore and sold 38.22 million tonnes.
