The National Import-Export for Yearly Analysis of Trade (NIRYAT) portal will play an important role in bridging the gap between export imports, enhancing exports to obtain a major share in global trade, said the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Thursday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 'Vanijya Bhawan' and launched the NIRYAT portal in Delhi and said it will help in breaking silos by providing real-time data to all stakeholders.

BC Bhartia, National President, CAIT and Praveen Khandelwal, Secretary-General, CAIT in a joint statement said that the country's retail business is going through many challenges at present and in such a situation, the operations of the Ministry from the new complex will provide various support policies for the trading community.

This will help the traders to enhance the annual turnover of India's retail trade from the current 130 lakh crore per annum to the next impressive level of turnover thereby highly contributing to the national economy, the trade leaders said.
