Monday Market Update: HAL, JK Paper, Centrum Capital Going Strong, Watch Out For Shoppers Stop, Tata Communications

After last week's fall, the trend of the stock market may remain volatile today, although some stocks are showing good signs

Last Friday, the stock market closed with a decline. While the BSE Sensex fell 236 points to close at 60,621, the Nifty fell 80 points to 18,027 points. Experts contribute this to the withdrawal of money by the foreign portfolio investors (FPIS). Even today, the market is expected to witness ups and downs. 


These Stocks Are Showing Bullish Signals 

According to the Momentum Indicator Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), stocks that are showing bullish signs include Centrum Capital, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Aeronautics, JK Paper and Sterling and Wilson. Shares of Centrum Capital closed at Rs 24.70 on Friday with a gain of 4.44 per cent, even as the market saw a downfall. It has given a return of 4.88% per cent in the last one month and its 52 week high level is Rs 35.45.

ICICI Bank is currently trading at Rs 871.65. In the last one year, this private bank stock has given only 9.17 per cent return. Similarly, the share of Hindustan Aeronautics is available at Rs 2,513.35 and JK Paper is at Rs 421.50. HAL saw a jump of 2.47 per cent and JK Paper jumped by 2.37 per cent. JK Paper has seen a jump of 1.48 per cent in the last five days, while HAL too has registered a growth of 1.58 in the same period.

Sterling and Wilson, a leading MEP and EPC contractor companies for power, solar energy, data center and more, recorded a gain of 3.11 per cent on the last trading day of last week. Available at Rs 272, the stock is far below its 52-week high of Rs 412.75 but has shown a steady rise of 0.80 per cent in the last one week.

Quarterly Results To Be Out Today

The Quarterly Earning Results of these companies are expected today - Shoppers Stop, Syngene International, Tata Communications, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank and Zensar Technologies. 

Meanwhile, also keep an eye on Axis Bank, IDBI Bank, Canara Bank, Container Corporation of India, Amber Enterprises India, Craftsman Automation, Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances, Gland Pharma, Gravita India, HFCL, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, Jindal Stainless, Poonawalla Fincorp and Route Mobile.
