Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Friday that the BJP-led NDA will form government again in 2024 and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will serve a third straight term.

Participating in the "India Today Conclave," Shah also stated that problems related to three hotspots – Jammu and Kashmir, the Northeast and Naxal – have been largely resolved since the Modi government came to power.

Since a surgical strike against terrorists inside Pakistan, no foreign force has dared to interfere in the country's domestic affairs, according to the home minister.

“The people will determine who will be the country's next prime minister. "I have visited every part of the country and concluded that the BJP will form the government once more, and Modi will be elected Prime Minister for the third time,” he said.

According to Shah, this is the first time a prime minister has received the people's mandate for a third straight term since the 1970s.

When asked how many votes the NDA would win in the 2024 general election, the minister said it would be more than in 2019. “We (the BJP) will receive more than 303 seats,” he predicted.

Out of the total 543 Lok Sabha districts, the BJP received 303 seats and the NDA received over 350.

When the Modi administration took office for the first time in 2014, 60 crore people did not have bank accounts, 10 crores did not have access to toilets, and three crores did not have electricity connections, according to Shah.

According to him, the Modi administration has provided them with access to banks, toilets, free food, electricity, and gas connections.

Not only that, but if there is a problem in the globe, other leaders look to Modi and what he thinks and believes, according to Shah.

He stated that the Modi government handled the Covid-19 pandemic very efficiently and successfully immunised all citizens of the nation.

When asked about his position as Union Home Minister, Shah stated that he was satisfied that problems in three hotspots – Jammu and Kashmir, the Northeast, and Naxal – had been resolved in general.

According to him, there has been a 70 per cent decrease in violence in Jammu and Kashmir, a 60 per cent decrease in violence in Naxal-affected regions, and many insurgents have surrendered and peace treaties have been signed in the Northeast.

Aside from these, Shah stated that the Modi government has repealed Article 370, is building the Ram temple, and has resolved Triple Talaq problems.

When asked when elections might be held in Jammu and Kashmir, the home minister said the Election Commission (EC) would make a decision once it was set to hold the polls.

“When the EC requests a report from the home ministry, we will provide it as soon as possible,” he said.
