The Mobile Wallet, a digital wallet solution, has launched a payment solution that will help merchants to accept payments through unique its QR (quick response) code.

The payment solutions provider aims to sign up one million merchants across India, hoping to reach out to all stores and outlets across the country.

"We want to offer the business community an easy to use app that will help them save time, money and help them increase their business. We will provide the smallest of merchants the opportunity to go hyperlocal by promoting themselves on the TMW App and also empowering them to make offers to people within their localities without having to incur large costs on advertising," said Vinay Kalantri, managing director of The Mobile Wallet.

The drive will target the entire spectrum of stores ranging from the smallest of local stores, which sell daily requirements, to the biggest of brands.

The merchants that sign up with the wallet will be able to accept digital payments through mobile phones without having to invest in technology upgrades.

The unique merchant ID can also be used by regular customers to make payments for their home delivery requests thereby reducing the need for the delivery boys to carry large amounts of small change and currency notes.

Merchants will also be appointed as cash loading points for users that want to use the option of loading their wallets with cash.

The merchant app is now available on the Google play store and the Amazon app store.
