A man from Bihar was arrested late midnight on Thursday for threatening Mukesh Ambani and his family. The man had made anonymous calls to Sir HN Reliance Foundation in Mumbai on Wednesday and gave death threats to Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani and sons Akash and Anant.

He had also threatened to blow up the Reliance Hospital and the Ambani’s residence, Antilia, in South Mumbai.

The suspect was arrested from Bihar’s Darbhanga district and brought to Mumbai.

The hospital made the police complaint after the anonymous calls on Wednesday. The police had then registered a case at the DB Marg Police Station and initiated an investigation.

This is the second time the Ambani family has received death threats in the last two months. On August 15, the Ambani family received similar threats from a man arrested in Dahisar. The caller was identified as a South Mumbai jeweller named Vishnu Bhowmik.
