Mahindra owned Korean manufacturer SsangYong Tivoli will be unveiled at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2016, according to several reports. The car will come out from the joint stable of domestic SUV manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra and Korean company SsangYong.

Tivoli will be priced strategically between Rs 9 lakh to Rs 14 lakh to compete with Hyundai's top selling compact SUV Creta and Renault Duster.

Mahindra has started its preparation to launch the car in the upcoming month as the company has initiated the road testing of the compact SUV on Indian roads.

Moreover, Mahindra- SsangYong has already initiated the road testing of the compact SUV on Indian roads, so we expect the crossover SUV to make its India debut in the coming months.

Mahindra SsangYong Tivoli will make its India debut at the Auto Expo which is going to held in Noida in February 2016.

Mated to a 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission, the 1.6-litre diesel engine of the SUV is powered by 113bhp and has a maximum torque of 300Nm. The 1.6-litre petrol engine, on the other hand, develops an impressive 126bhp and 160Nm. In its home market, the petrol model is available in both manual and automatic gearboxes.

Similar to its elder sibling, Rexton, the Mahindra-SsangYong Tivoli could also be assembled locally to achieve a competitive pricing.
