Maha Govt Releases SOPs For Cinema Halls; 50% occupancy; No Food, Drinks Allowed

The State government has said that food and drinks will not be allowed inside the halls, as a preventive measure, amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

After announcing the opening of theatres, the Maharashtra government now released Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cinema halls, with 50 per cent occupancy, however, no food and drinks will not be allowed inside the screens, informed the State Government, on Monday.  

The State government has said that food and drinks will not be allowed inside the halls, as a preventive measure, amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. 

Apart from that, maintaining social distance, wearing face masks, and using sanitisers inside the theatre are mandatory. 

Meanwhile, people who are fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine will have to show their vaccination certificate.

The circular from the Maharashtra government verifies the fact that also cinema halls are indeed opening from October 22. 

Also, those who are non or partially vaccinated, have to show the 'safe' status on their central government-run Aarogya Setu application.

Meanwhile, there are many malls that are allowing only fully vaccinated people to enter the premises. 

Talking about the staff of the theatre, they will have to ensure to check the temperature of the public and allow only asymptomatic individuals inside the cinema hall.

The staff also need to be fully vaccinated and need to make sure that he/she has completed 14 days after taking the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination.
