After the increase in cases of coronavirus in some parts of the country, the period of restrictions seems to be returning. Face mask has been made mandatory once again in some states and cities including UP.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday warned that self-discipline, wearing of masks and vaccination are very important if you want to avoid restrictions like lockdown.

Along with this, CM Thackeray has also appealed to the central government to make vaccination mandatory. After removing all the COVID related restrictions less than a month ago, Uddhav Thackeray has again urged the people of his state to use face masks while going out.

This appeal of the Chief Minister has come after the continuous increase in the cases of covid infection in the state. Significantly, more than 100 new cases have been reported in Mumbai for the second consecutive day on Wednesday.

The Chief Minister has instructed to conduct RTPCR test of patients immediately if flu-like symptoms are found in the state, to increase the number of tests in the state as well as to increase the speed of vaccination. He also said that he would appeal to the government to make vaccination mandatory for all.

Thackeray has issued all these instructions in a meeting held with the officials of all the districts of the state.

In the context of covid 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called a meeting of Chief Ministers of all the states on Wednesday and expressed concern over the increasing number of Covid-19 patients. In this background, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray interacted with all the divisional commissioners, district collectors, municipal commissioners, chief executive officers of district councils and police officers through video conferencing and took stock of the situation.
