Last Trading Day Today: ‘Pathaan’ Raises Hope For PVR, TVS Motor, Bharti Airtel, HUL Show Bullish Signs
After a holiday on Republic Day, the stock market would open today for the last trading session of the week. Wednesday saw the market close with a fall and it is expected to remain volatile even today

The last trading session on Wednesday saw the market closing with a decline. The BSE Sensex slipped 773 points to close at 60205 and Nifty fell 226 points to close at 17891, which brought sorrow for the investors. Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, only 8 closed with gains, while the remaining 22 stocks declined. Similarly, 40 out of 50 Nifty stocks closed with losses. Even today i.e. 27 January which is the last trading day of the week, experts feel that the market will have a mixed response.
'Pathaan' Brings Hope For PVR
The blockbuster opening for Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ has raised hopes for PVR even as the market was dull. The stock closed at Rs 1,665.00 with a fall of 1.01 per cent on Wednesday, but has seen a rise of 0.60 per cent in the last five days. And with the film going strong, it is expected that PVR stocks may cross the 2000 mark.
The Big Gainers
Wednesday despite being a dull day for the market saw some ‘knights in shining armour’. MRO-TEK Reality, a small cap company, saw a good jump of 19.95 per cent to close at Rs 74.25. It has given a return of 24.16 in the last one month and is moving towards its 52 week high level of Rs 79.50.
Dynacons Systems and Solutions gained by 9.99 per cent and touched its 52 week high of Rs 519.60. This stock too has shown a good growth of 48.75 per cent in the last one month.
Bullish Signals In These Stocks
According to the Momentum Indicator Momentum Indicator Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), the shares of Hindustan Unilever, PVR, Bharti Airtel, Sharda Cropchem and TVS Motor are expected to show bullish signs.
The stocks of Sharda Cropchem closed on Wednesday with a good gain of 4.67 per cent. This stock has given a return of 8.75 per cent in the last 5 days, while in one month this figure is 11.86 per cent. TVS Motor also gained 5.50 per cent on 25 January and is currently trading at Rs 1,038.
The shares of Bharti Airtel closed at Rs 777.15 on 25 January even in a declining market, with a jump of 0.19 per cent. In the last five days, it has seen a constant growth of 1.03 per cent.
Hindustan Unilever too climbed up by 1.13 per cent in the last trading session. In the last one month, this stock priced at Rs 2,630 has given a return of 1.03 per cent. Its 52 week high range is Rs 2,741.60.
Quarterly Results Expected Today
The quarterly results of Bajaj Finance, Vedanta, Aarti Drugs, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC, CMS Info Systems, Glenmark Life Sciences, Godfrey Phillips India, Sterlite Technologies, Zenotech Laboratories and AIA Engineering can also come today. Therefore, keep an eye on the shares of these companies as well.
