LPG Price Rise In Third Consecutive Month, Rs 25 By This Time

Meanwhile, the government in the month of July this year increased the LPG price by Rs 25.50. The price was also increased by Rs 25 per cylinder on August 18, 2021.

Amid the continuous price rise, the government has increased the price of a cylinder of non-subsidized Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs. 25. The 14.2 KG cylinder will cost Rs 884.5 in Delhi and Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the government in the month of July this year increased the LPG price by Rs 25.50. The price was also increased by Rs 25 per cylinder on August 18, 2021. 

This price rise in LPG gas makes it the third consecutive month where prices have soared. However, the  LPG cylinder prices are different in each state due to taxes that are imposed by the state government. 

Also, talking about the price of commercial gas, it has also gone up. The price of 19-kg commercial cylinder commercial LPG in the national capital has risen to Rs 1,693 by an increase of Rs 75. 

 Meanwhile, India has witnessed a constant rise in the number of LPG users. According to the official figures, the country has a total number of 29.11 crore of active domestic LPG consumers, which consists of those people who avail of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, as of July 1, 2021. India had 26.54 crore LPG customers in 2018-19.
