Kamala Harris Ends Asia Tour, Slams China For Bullying Its Neighboring Countries

The VC President's recent trip to Southeast Asia was intended to reset relations in Asia, after the turbulent years of former US President Donald Trump which has stressed its commitment and ties to its Southeast Asian allies.

Amid criticism from several sections of the world community over its handling of the Taliban situation, the United States (US) Vice-President Kamala Harris, ended her Southeast Asian tour in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Thursday. 

On the last day of her tour, Harris slammed and warned China and said that the U.S. will continue to hold its ground and push back against Beijing’s claims in disputed Asian waters.

During her trip, Harris had already slammed and accused China of bullying its neighboring countries in the resource-dominant South China Sea. Now, VP on Thursday, again she again took potshots at the Beijing 

However, Harris also emphasized that Washington does "not seek conflict" with Beijing, but the US will "do what we can to make sure that we stay committed to our partners" on conflicts like the South China Sea.

Meanwhile, Critics also slammed Kamala Harris' visit to Vietnam as tone-deaf, citing the parallels between the disturbing and chaotic atmosphere in Kabul, Afghanistan, and Saigon evacuation in 1975. 

Amid the Taliban takeover of  Afghanistan, the US has been constantly facing heat from international communities over its reliability following the US withdrawal. 

Meanwhile, on Thursday, amid the evacuation process from Kabul, Islamic State or ISIS group's affiliate two suicide bombers and gunmen in Afghanistan attacked civilians at the Kabul airport, which lead to the death of approximately 60 Afghans and 13 US soldiers. The Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) took responsibility for the attacks and said that they targeted "translators and collaborators with the American army".
