Jio 5G Launch In Assam: CM Biswa Says 5G Will Be Available In Every Town By Dec

Reliance Jio announced the rollout of 5G services in Assam on Tuesday. The state's chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said at an event in Guwahati that by December- end 2023, 5G network will be made available in all towns and taluka of Assam. 

To deploy a high-speed 5G network in the state, Reliance Jio is going to invest more than Rs 2,500 crores. Earlier, the firm invested Rs 9,500 crores, Sarma said. 

The firm also launched its 5G-powered Wifi services in Assam on January 10.

Jio stated that the healthcare sector is selected for the demonstration of the benefits of Jio True 5G. It will include services for the Jio Community Clinic medical kit, smart healthcare solutions like Tele Radiology, Connected Ambulance and AR-VR-based healthcare with JioGlass.
