The dispute of investment and mining lease in shell companies has now reached the highest court of the country. To save Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Jharkhand government has appealed in the Supreme Court. The matter is likely to come up for hearing on Friday.

The matter was to be heard in the Jharkhand High Court on Thursday, but state government's advocate Kapil Sibal sought the next date from the court, making the basis for hearing in the Supreme Court. The matter will now be heard in the High Court on Tuesday.

Actually, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had submitted a sealed report in the Jharkhand High Court in the last hearing, this report was sought from the state government but the court refused. The same has been challenged in the Supreme Court. Significantly, the information received by the ED, which is probing the case of IAS Pooja Singhal, is pointing fingers at the top leadership of the state.

The election commission had sent a notice to CM Soren and sought his reply on the lease case, but has recieved no response yet. It is expected that the Chief Minister will send his reply within a few days. After that the election commission will give its decision.
