Once again the graph of coronavirus is increasing in different states of the country. In view of the increase in the number of covid-19 patients, the states are being instructed to strictly follow the Covid Guidelines. In this episode, the Jharkhand government has also expressed concern about the school going children.
The Jharkhand government has instructed the school administration to be vigilant. However, till April 23, there were only 22 active cases in Jharkhand. But these figures are raising concern because only a few days ago, cases were coming up in single digit in Jharkhand. Therefore, the government has issued a cautionary alert.
Mass prayers, cultural and sporting events have been banned in all schools in the state. Wearing of masks has been made mandatory for teachers and students. There is an order for regular sanitisation in schools.
Education and Literacy Department secretary Rajesh Sharma has issued letters to all district education officers and district education superintendents asking them to ensure arrangements. He has mentioned in his letter that cases of corona are increasing in many states. Therefore special caution is required. The Education Secretary has said that at the time of opening the schools, strict compliance of the SOP issued by the Disaster Management Department will have to be ensured.
It has been emphasised in the letter that there should not be any such activity in the schools, in which there is a possibility of collective participation. Teachers, cooks and other employees of all government schools will have to compulsorily take both doses of the vaccine.
Sharma has instructed all the Deputy Commissioners that there should be regular examination of covid in all government schools and residential schools. At the same time, private schools have told parents that if the child is ill, they could be send to school only after covid examination.
At the same time, in view of the increasing cases of corona in Delhi, Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta has given instructions to take precaution in his state. He has told that the airport, railway station and people coming from outside will be screened.
