JW Marriott Kolkata All Set To Host Women Economic Forum-India 2017
The world's largest hotel chain will be hosting the WEF-India 2017 event on January 02 and 03 in Kolkata on the theme 'Shakti Unleashed: Awakening the Power Within'

JW Marriott Kolkata has come forward to support the international Women Economic Forum (WEF) summit. The world's largest hotel chain will be hosting the WEF-India 2017 event on January 02 and 03 in Kolkata on the theme “Shakti Unleashed: Awakening the Power Within."
More than 400 eminent dignitaries will be joining the mega event. There are more than 50 sessions spread over the two days with over 150 speakers to speak across the sessions.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be inaugurating the forum. Several business tycoons like Hemant Kanoria, Rajive Kaul, Alka Bangur, Sanjay Jhunjhunwala are also join the event. Bankers like Anuradha Roy of SBI Mutual and well-known personalities like Bickram Ghosh, Shamlu Dudeja Madhu Neotia, Preeti Goenka, Minu Budhia and Threety Irani will come to attend the two-day summit.
Speaking for the Women Economic Forum, Dr Harbeen Arora, founder and Global Chairperson said that WEF is a global conference of the All Ladies League to foster empowering conversations and connections among women of extraordinary commitment to foster constructive change in all walks of life.
Dr Arora expressed gratefulness for the wholehearted and empowering support given by JW Marriott Kolkata which is globally known for its very proactive commitment to the cause of women empowerment and inclusiveness.
General Manager, JW Marriott Kolkata and Multi-Property Vice President Marriott East, Ms Ranju Alex, said she was delighted in bringing WEF to Kolkata for its India conference. She added that she personally had experienced their unique energy of fostering sisterhood beyond borders, biases and boundaries that so truly unleashed the Shakti within each woman. She said that the Marriott Group worldwide is deeply committed to empowering women and that can be seen in the many women initiatives that the Marriott hotels have led across the world.
WEF events take place throughout the year and across the globe empowering women to expand their business opportunities and increase their global influence through peer exchange, networking across borders while being inspired by some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, authors, speakers, leaders, and celebrities.
Regional events are held throughout the year in different parts of the world, like in the Hague, followed by London, while Annual event is held in New Delhi, India. There are more coming up this year in the US, Canada, Maldives, South Africa, Iceland, New Zealand and Morocco.
