J&K Gets Investment Proposals Worth Rs 64,000 Crore, Informs Government

Replying to a written question in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said the Jammu and Kashmir government has reported receiving proposals for investments worth approximately Rs 64,000 crore so far

The Union government is all set to develop Jammu and Kashmir with big investments. The Jammu and Kashmir government has reported an investment proposal amounting to Rs 64,000 crore. Out of this Rs 2,500 crore has already been received. This was informed in the Parliament on Tuesday. 


Replying to a written question in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said the Jammu and Kashmir government has reported receiving proposals for investments worth approximately Rs 64,000 crore so far. Of this, Rs 840.55 crore investment has come in 2017-18, Rs 590.97 crore investment in 2018-19, Rs 296.64 crore in 2019-20, Rs 412.74 crore in 2020-21 and Rs 376.76 crore in 2021-22.


Rai also stated in the parliament that the government has approved construction of 6,000 transit accommodation for Kashmiri migrant employees engaged or to be engaged in different departments of Jammu and Kashmir government. “2,639 government jobs have been provided to Kashmiri migrants under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP), 2015,” he said in a written reply.
