Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that 10 crore investors' funds that were trapped in the four cooperative societies owned by the Sahara group will be returned with interest.

In three to four months, Shah said, the procedure to repay their investments with interest will begin.

At a gathering hosted by the Uttarakhand Cooperative Department at Rishikul Ground here, Shah announced that the Supreme Court had ordered that investors' funds in Sahara Group cooperative societies be returned.

According to Shah, the Ministry of Cooperation had repeatedly pursued the issue.

He advised those who had invested in the four cooperative societies of the Sahara group to submit their claims to the central registrar of cooperative societies in light of the Supreme Court's decision in favour of investors.
