The world has become a global village. With immense availability of workers at competitive wages; the foreign exchange favouring India; the government support; and incentives on exports to accelerate the growth in manufacturing, it is a golden opportunity for Indian entrepreneurs to grow their businesses multifold. All of these factors have collectively helped Simplex make a mark in the global diaspora.
Let me begin with my background. I graduated with a degree in Business Studies from England and joined my family business at the age of 21. Following my father, Damodar Sarda’s, principles of constant hard work, modesty and a quest for non-stop learning, I have seen the business grow ten-fold over the past decade. More than 90 percent of our business was in the domestic market. But when we explored foreign shores, our profits and revenues touched more than 70 percent of the exports sale.
Simplex Chemopack has invested in all the necessary skills required for infrastructure, products, international certifications, processes and services of global standards to manufacture high-grade flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC). Our vision is to emerge as the world’s most valued FIBC player. The company has started expanding across the globe with footprints in more than 25 countries and constantly venturing new markets.
Innovation in service has been the key to our success. For instance, we were the first company to execute and invest in an online-tracking platform for all orders. As an entrepreneur, I have dreamt big to achieve sustainable growth and deliver the best to our customers. Helping me realise my dreams is the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO). As an active member of this global community, I have always experienced the friendliness, hospitality and warmth extended to all the members. And I’ve enjoyed tremendous learning at events throughout India, including “EO Spark,” an event in Raipur that offered tremendous learning experience amidst fellow members and speakers like Wasim Akram, Irrfan Khan and Subhash Chandra.
In EO, we connect, communicate and celebrate on both a personal and professional level, and the impact is so tremendous on my life and business. I am thankful for the chance to learn and grow from 12,000 EO peers who have “been there, done that,” and who continue to help me become the leader I know I can be. That is the power of the EO community. I am proud to be an EO member, and I am proud to be an Indian entrepreneur. The future is bright for business and entrepreneurs
