Indian Bank Introduces Resources Acquisition Centre To Strengthen Deposit Portfolio

Indian Bank has taken a significant strategic step to bolster its Deposit Business Portfolio by introducing a new concept called 'Resources Acquisition Centre' (RAC). The first RAC was inaugurated in Mumbai (Southern) on 20 July 2023, in the presence of Mahesh Kumar Bajaj, Executive Director of Indian Bank, and SSP Roy, Field General Manager of Mumbai FGMO. The bank plans to establish 20 RACs at Ultra Potential Centers in Phase-I to strengthen its deposit portfolio.

The primary objective of this initiative is to reinforce the Retail Deposit Portfolio, including Current Deposit, Savings Bank, and Term Deposit accounts. The dedicated RAC team will focus on Relationship Banking, aiming to deepen existing client relationships and attract potential high-value clients. The bank will target specific customer segments, such as HNIs, Government/Institutional Clients, Salaried Class, Corporates, Business community, Traders, and Pensioners.

During the inauguration, Bajaj highlighted the bank's commitment to customer-centric initiatives and providing the best products and services to valued clients. The introduction of RACs is expected to deliver significant results by offering robust Relationship Banking services to both existing and potential high-value clients. The bank plans to achieve this goal with a proactive, responsive, and digitally empowered team of Relationship Managers.

Bajaj also emphasised the bank's transformation roadmap, which focuses on state-of-the-art technology, pioneering and customised products/processes, and delivering delightful customer experiences through Relationship Banking.

The launch event was attended by M. Uma, Zonal Manager & DGM of Mumbai South Zone, Rajesh Mundra, DGM of FGM Office in Mumbai, and Seemita S. Das, AGM of RAC in Mumbai (Southern).

Indian Bank's introduction of Resources Acquisition Centres demonstrates its commitment to strengthen its position in the financial sector and enhance its connection with customers. The RACs are expected to play a pivotal role in driving innovation, improving customer experiences, and solidifying the bank's deposit base.
